The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and cybersecurity, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our cloud-based systems and applications. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, develop strategies to mitigate threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.&nbsp;WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:&nbsp;<ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud-based environments, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.&nbsp;</li><li>Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions to control access to cloud resources and applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Configure and monitor cloud security tools and services.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Stay up-to-date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to cloud security, and recommend proactive measures to enhance security posture.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security-related matters, including incident response, compliance, and security awareness training.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in regular security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.&nbsp;</li></ul>YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;<ul><li>5+ years of work experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (9+ years total work experience)&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in cloud security architecture, design, and implementation, with expertise in major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of networking concepts, encryption techniques, and secure communication protocols.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and services, such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center.&nbsp;</li></ul>THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:&nbsp;<ul><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity and cloud computing.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.&nbsp;</li></ul>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;<ul><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.&nbsp;</li><li>Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be physically able to commute to buildings.&nbsp;</li><li>Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.&nbsp;</li></ul>Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab.&nbsp; Employees may also receive company equity and access to a robust benefits package including: top tier medical HMO, PPO &amp; a 100% company-sponsored medical HSA plan option, dental and vision coverage, 3 weeks paid vacation and 5 days sick leave per year, 11 paid holidays per year, flexible spending and dependent care savings accounts, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
