GENERAL DUTIES:

Motivation, conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance of student during the time he/she is on the institution campus are also duties of the Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer Instructor. The instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; evaluate student progress and maintain student records; participate in professional development activities; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to area employers; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area. Leadership &amp; Supervisory:&nbsp;This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but is expected to participate as part of a team in conjunction with other faculty and as a member of the Humanities division.
Environment &amp; Working Conditions:&nbsp;Office environment is temperature controlled with occasional fluctuations, well lit, and free from loud noises and unnecessary interruptions. Could be exposed to varying weather conditions when travelling.

<li>Large amounts of time spent looking at computer monitors could lead to some eye strain, stress, or headache issues.</li>
