The Admissions Processing Specialist reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions Processing. Essential Functions Job Duties Knowledge Skills and Abilities <ul> <li>Must possess strong customer service skills.</li> <li>Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Ability to consistently report to work on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.</li> <li>Follows instructions, responds reasonably to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.</li> <li>Ability to meet productivity standards and complete work in timely manner.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail; proficient in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.</li> <li>Must possess a strong work ethic, be goal oriented and self-motivated.</li> <li>Ability to learn and successfully use admissions systems such as Banner, BDM/Imaging systems, and CRM management systems.</li> <li>Able to communicate clearly and informatively via email, must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Treats people with respect, professionalism and consideration regardless of their status or position; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethics; upholds organizational values.</li> <li>Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations regarding the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.</li> <li>Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.</li> </ul> Required Education High school diploma or its equivalent. Required Work Experience Two (2) years of experience in complex data entry in an office environment. Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Some college;</li> <li>Experience in a higher education setting;</li> <li>Experience with Banner software;</li> <li>Experience with BDM/Extender digital document imaging;</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft CRM Recruiter.</li> </ul> Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations N/A. Work Hours Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5pm, with occasional extended hours to meet departmental needs especially during peak periods. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 10 lbs of admission documents and transcripts.
