Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead a team of individuals in the redesign, development, and maintenance of SharePoint sites for a Veteran’s Affairs client.   The Technical Product Manager will lead multiple technology product delivery teams, drive program schedules, manage project financials, and ensure high quality delivery of LMI contracts.


A successful Technical Project Manager will be highly skilled in the oversight and management of technical projects from start to finish and be familiar with executing in an Agile framework.  A successful Technical Project Manager will be detail oriented, possess the management skills to hold people accountable to quality expectations and timelines, and respond quickly to evolving client needs. A background in digital transformation, software development, and/or User Experience/Human Centered Design is highly desired. The Technical Project Manager must demonstrate competency in leadership, strategic thinking, relationship management, multitasking, schedule management, and delivery excellence, while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Management of a team, utilizing an Agile methodology, that emphasizes iterative development, collaboration, and flexibility to complete projects
  • Ensure that goals, requirements, and outcomes are defined and that the appropriate resources are allocated 
  • Monitor team performance to ensure that projects are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones and established project standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire process of each project’s development and execution 
  • Foster positive working relationships with team, client personnel and leadership counterparts 
  • Prioritize tasks, set deadlines and assign resources to each project 
  • Track cost, schedule and performance, as well as prepare documents and develop project specific policy, procedures and report status to all levels 
  • Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and execution 
  • Manage task assignments and oversight of personnel to ensure excellence in services delivery 
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports and ensure such deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion and of high quality/accuracy
  • Engage directly with stakeholders and support the team in gathering and documenting requirements
  • Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to the team

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field
  • Minimum of 3 years consulting experience and leading a team of individuals to a successful solution
  • Scrum Master Certified
  • Experience leading a team to a solution utilizing the Agile framework
  • Technically adept and business-focused to interface across technical disciplines and senior leadership
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a “client first” attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to successful outcomes
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of Project Management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and exhibit flexibility based on changing client needs
  • High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy
  • Strong connector - make insightful connections to bring the right people together to solve problems and grow the business
  • Must pass National Agency Check Background Screening to support government client

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience leading SharePoint development and implementation, or a similar web-based solution
  • Organizational change management understanding and/or certifications
  • Experience with Human Centered Design principles and methodologies
  • Experience managing projects that require 508 compliance
  • Previous experience within the government contracting space
  • Previous experience in the Higher Education, Research, or Healthcare space
