This position is a business partner responsible for working with the Director of Franchise Operations, Franchisees, Key Operators, and strategic partners to help implement operational systems with each franchise organization. Partners with Franchise Directors and strategic partners to execute the Whataburger operations plans during openings and within existing restaurants. Responsibilities:
- Coaches and monitors operational execution within each franchise.
- Consults Franchisees and works with strategic partners to achieve optimal operational effectiveness.
- Drives new sales and protects existing customer base.
- Works with strategic partners to ensure high customer service and develops plans to improve customer service as needed.
- Ensures compliance with Whataburger brand standards by monitoring, advising, and training.
- Collects weekly data relative to the operational execution of franchisees.
- Evaluates Customer Service Platform metrics to validate customer service and operational execution.
- Monitors and reports sales data; sets targets and actions to help improve sales performance.
- Provides Franchise Leadership with Franchise Business summaries to calibrate with Franchisees, key perspectives, and goals to align with Company and franchise goals and objectives.
- Trains on proper maintenance of facility and help develop plans to meet standards.
- Supports Corporate Franchise Marketing with Local Store Marketing (LSM) for the Franchise Community.
- Conducts restaurant visits and reports results to strategic partners. Undertakes corrective action as needed.
- Provides training support and resources to existing restaurants and new restaurant openings.
- Administers product and procedure reviews on a regular basis to ensure compliance.
- Prepares standard and special reports for senior management as assigned.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience:
- 8+ years’ experience preferably in restaurant industry
Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in MS Office 365: Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, Power-Bi, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Workday preferred (as applicable)
- Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate decisions while motivating assigned staff
- Ability to achieve brevity with written and oral communication
- Ability to effectively influence through articulation and intentional correspondence
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
- Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
- Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
- Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary
- Must be able to travel occasionally both locally and long distances (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residence
