Special Education Teacher - Mathematics

Qualifications:
NJ Teacher Handicapped Certification 
OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities and NJ Mathematics Certification
Ability to implement IEP's, monitor goals, track progress and write new goals 
Experience with in class resources and resource replacement programs
Strong classroom management skill and experience with positive behavior interventions 
Flexible, strong classroom management
Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal 


All alternate route candidates (“Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. *In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers (“employers”) are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
