Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) develops digital solutions that make it easy for bank partners, merchants, acquirers, etc. to connect and do business with American Express. Whether it's through transaction processing on our modernized, high-performing Network, or through acquiring platforms that allow millions of merchants to warmly accept Amex, NAS develops products and capabilities that are imperative to our customers' lives.
The Senior Manager, Regional Industry Forums is responsible for shaping the future of the payments landscape through influential leadership both internally and externally. This role will lead AXP’s engagement at select Industry regional forums in the US, in partnership with key Amex stakeholders and disseminate competitive intelligence across GMNS to inform product roadmaps.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Develop and execute a strategy for Amex participation at US regional forums (i.e. X9, U.S. Payments Forum, etc.)
- Partner and collaborate across the enterprise, defining internally, then drive and influence externally, Amex strategy and positions, related to industry organization work
- Proactively assess the external payments landscape. Methodically gather and share external insights and industry forum linkages to guide Amex strategies and roadmaps.
- Share industry intelligence with leadership for dissemination to internal partners.
- Be an agent for continual transformation. Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Be courageous in challenging status quo and past assumptions, provide counter arguments, take risks, and be open to change.
Qualifications:
- A passion for payments: have a keen sense of the current and future payment industry landscape to contextualize Amex within this.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
