Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Project Manager to work in our Researcher Accelerator department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the senior manager over the Researcher Accelerator department.

You will provide managerial leadership on the project and is responsible for all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, cost, milestones, and resources.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, document, guide and report on projects assigned.
  • Integrate and communicate with customers and managers of related projects.
  • Determine appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Use project management techniques to assure technical, schedule, and budget baselines are controlled throughout each phase of a project.  Participate in phase, milestone, and final project reviews.
  • Communicate with technical performers about budget, schedule, and technical requirements and constraints. Support performers to accomplish project goals.
  • Manage all projects following BEA procedures.  Monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with procurement, and interface with the customer regarding contracting terms and conditions; participate in subcontract amendment negotiations and obtain necessary corporate and customer approvals.
  • Take corrective action when problems arise. 
  • Identify project documentation requirements or procedures.
  • Manage projects to achieve project goals and ensure all work is performed safely.
  • Review inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements.
  • Perform project closeout activities including final cost report and project records closeout.
  • Work with organizational managers to build technical teams to successfully complete projects. 
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, or related field from an accredited institution and 5 years relevant experience; or Masters and 2 years relevant experience; or a doctorate and 2 years experience
  • Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, or related field from an accredited institution and 9 years relevant experience; or Masters and 6 years relevant experience; or a doctorate and 4 years experience
  • Relevant experience functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role appropriate with job level.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. 


Job Information: 

  • The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($91,008 - $186,588) / Level 4 ($109,260 - $223,908). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
