Professional Counselor II S00198FY18


Provide multi-culturally competent individual, group, and couple counseling as well as crisis intervention for professional DVM students in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). Teach wellness curriculum in the classroom to audiences of 30-600 participants. Provide outreach, consultation, supervision, and research as needed to staff, faculty, and DVM students/house officers in the CVM. Serves on SCS and CVM committees.


Masters in Counseling & Guidance, Social Work, Counseling or Clinical Psychology or other specialty related to job function. One year post master’s experience in college counseling center or other relevant setting.

Texas Licensed Professional Counsel (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Previous professional education and experience working with university or college students. Ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team environment; adherence to organizational protocol, policies, procedures. Adherence to Ethical Guidelines of the American Counseling Association. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
