Principal Administration - Enterprise Content Management
The unstructured data space served by Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Systems is growing in scope and importance across Fidelity. The ECM landscape is being modernized using cloud native scalable solutions and with the continued investment and innovation in electronic records management, document archiving is essential to Fidelity’s value proposition. As a Senior Systems Engineer – Enterprise Content Management you will provide complex operational support and problem resolution for the ECM platforms and associated infrastructure. You will consult with management, delivery teams and other IT (Information Technology) partners on all aspects of platform change to ensure a positive Customer and Associate Experience.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience working with IBM FileNet, OpenText Documentum, Nuxeo or comparable Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform.
- 5+ years’ experience of administration and support of an ECM platform experience
- Java/Shell/PowerShell programming is a plus
- Migration tool experience is a plus
- Tomcat/TCServer administration on Linux/Windows experience is a plus
The Purpose of This Role
In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and updating the Filenet & Documentum platform and associated infrastructure. You will also support the modernization effort in migrating Documentum/Filenet to Nuxeo SaaS (software as a service) environments. We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer who can work closely with squad leaders and scrum masters, scrum teams and production support to develop, maintain and update the ECM system. Candidate should have a good knowledge and hands on experience with ECM administration and development of one of the following: IBM Filenet, OpenText Documentum, Nuxeo, or other comparable modern content management software packages.

The Fidelity Corporate Technology Group (CTG) is responsible for providing enterprise-wide functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Security with effective and efficient technology solutions and support. To do all of this and align group structure with our business partners, CTG has over 600 associates in Fidelity locations across the United States, Ireland, India, and China.
The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) squad of squads operates within the Corporate Administration and Enterprise Capability Technology (CAEC) Tribe in CTG. The ECM mission is to increase knowledge worker capacity, enhance associate experience and improve document management capability across the firm. It supports the Fidelity value proposition through investment and innovation in knowledge management, document management and collaboration solutions.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 8+ years’ experience of developing or administering ECM platforms and document management domain knowledge.
- 5+ years of proven administration experience of Enterprise Content such as Documentum, FileNet, Hyland Nuxeo, or other comparable modern content management platforms.
- Ability to serve as a rotational team on-call resource in support of the organization’s service delivery model.
- Ability to perform ECM upgrades and migrations.
- Demonstrable ability to install and configure Documentum components and services efficiently and effectively.
- You can fix and diagnose issues quickly and thoroughly.
- Your ability to build and use shell scripts effectively in the automation of systems tasks.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions for Enterprise Content Management.
- RDMS knowledge is a plus.
- Nuxeo experience or knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in working in an agile environment.
- You are able and willing to work in a highly matrixed environment.
- You have good written and verbal communication skills.
