Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Offer Management, the Marketing Specialist (MS) produces AutoNation’s merchandising assets for local promotional offers, national campaigns, and events. The individual leads coordination of channel activation and agency production related activities. The Specialist works directly with stores, vehicle manufacturers, and partners to procure offer content on a routine basis. In addition, the MS conducts necessary diligence and facilitates the disclaimer/legal review process while ensuring overall content accuracy of finished assets.  The MS works directly with the corresponding Local Marketing Manager (LMM) to execute merchandising development and activation processes for local, regional, and national efforts. The Marketing Specialist administers, maintains, and audits the related systems and tools.  In addition, the MS serves as an OEM Brand Champion for offer administration. 



Organizational Relationships

Reports to the Director, Offer Management with a direct supporting relationship to the assigned Local Marketing Manager. The Specialist works extensively across corporate marketing functions and regional teams.  The MS drives the production efforts and ensure deadlines are achieved.

Job Responsibilities

  • Procure manufacturer incentives, offers and promotional event content
  • Secure offer details and input content, into Merchandising Platform while maintaining process integrity ensuring adherence to quality and scheduling
  • Build Online Specials, After-Sales Specials, and coordinate production of Promotional Banners with agency partners
  • Assist certification (legal, compliance, and brand) of offer content and assets to ensure all requirements are met
  • Upload and distribute Promotional Banner content to individual store’s OEM website platform
  • Coordinate OEM website platform review efforts of uploaded merchandising assets (Specials, Coupons and Banners)
  • Process and input field ad hoc job request into Job Management System (JIRA), drive channel assignments and achieve defined SLAs
  • Develop, produce, and distribute Merchandising Monthly Recap (Media Plan, Media Creative, Promotional Banners, and Service Coupons)
  • Collect content, and produce materials for monthly Regional Merchandising Calls
  • Procure and analyze market intelligence data to provide key insights while on merchandising calls with key stakeholders
  • Serve as the manufacturer compliance and OEM guidelines Brand Champion for updates and announcements
  • Manage Brand Champion Merchandising Assets and Promotional Event content Libraries. 
  • Demonstrate and advocate company vision, mission, and values.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years marketing and/or agency account service.  
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational competency
  • Demonstrated campaign development and administration experience
  • Experience working with high volume, detailed work processes and deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external departments
  • Strong organization, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • In depth knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines
