About our intern program:
Our intern program is a robust experience that offers interns exposure to the business world and a meaningful work experience. Baird's summer includes an Intern Welcome Event in our corporate office in Milwaukee, multiple Lunch & Learns, a Brewer game at Miller Park, Baird Night at the Zoo, and many other informal events. Our interns have the opportunity to use a Baird Cares Day and be compensated to volunteer in the community. They are also eligible to apply for $8,000 in scholarships. Our informal mentor program gives interns an opportunity to network throughout Baird and learn about all the areas of the firm.

Talent Acquisition is a key team within Baird's Human Resources department and works creatively to source and hire top talent at all levels within the firm. We are seeking a highly motivated student for our Talent Acquisition Intern role to contribute to our success! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on HR and recruiting experience within a global financial services firm.

Internship Location, Availability and Hours:
Part-time during the school semester, at least 20-24 hours per week. Full-time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week. We are looking for a local student who is able to start as early as December 2017/ January 2018.

As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will:
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with recruitment activities including posting requisitions, coordinating interviews, scheduling video interviews, reviewing candidate resumes and conducting phone screens.
  • Assist with campus recruiting efforts including coordinating events, posting positions and assisting with intern program planning and implementation
  • Enter and manage candidate information and interview status in BrassRing/Kenexa, our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Coordinate background and reference checking process and other administrative duties as needed
  • Assist with special projects including conducting research, implementing process improvements and creating marketing materials.

What we look for:
  • Pursuing a Business or Communications degree at a local university. Targeting May 2019 - May 2020 grads.
  • One year of general office experience preferred with an interest in Human Resources and recruiting
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Provide balance of creativity, curiosity, drive and interpersonal savvy.
  • Great customer service skills with ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, exceptional follow-up skills and high attention to detail.
