We are seeking enthusiastic junior or senior college students studying in an Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology program.
As an Intern, you will work with our engineering and testing laboratory team to perform required laboratory tests necessary on devices to deliver the fastest, highest quality and most customer-friendly service possible. UL's laboratories uphold the most stringent quality control measures and are renowned for their innovative equipment design.
No prior experience is required so come join us, learn and help make a difference!

If you are:
  • A junior or senior college student studying Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Interested in working in a product safety test environment

Under general supervision with defined limits of responsibility, the Intern is responsible for evaluating, explaining, and completing test results of customer samples for the Engineering Staff. Follows defined test plans and data sheets. Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.

  • As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets.
  • Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.
  • Records and explains test results and completes test report for Engineering staff.
  • As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case.
  • Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
  • Operates with supervision within defined limits of responsibility.
  • Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
  • Performs other duties as directed.


  • Junior or Senior enrolled in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology programs
  • No experience required.
