POSITION SUMMARY

Containers and Kubernetes are transforming the way the US Government develops and runs applications. Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is on the cutting edge of Kubernetes and Container orchestration. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inside Sales Representative to help support our rapid growth in government markets for our products and services.

As a RGS Inside Sales Representative (ISR) you will be on the front lines of evangelizing Rancher Products and Services to the US Federal market. Working closely with your assigned Account Executive, Marketing and Sales support you will be able to articulate Rancher’s value proposition to prospects and jump start their journey to becoming valued, paying customers. Generating top of funnel leads will be your primary objective and the basis of your compensation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage a pipeline of specific sales territories.
  • Successfully drive the closure of renewal opportunities in a specific territory.
  • Responsible for outbound lead generation for RGS potential customer prospects.
  • Responsible for follow up on existing RGS leads generated through channel and marketing activities.
  • Ability to articulate the value of RGS to Government.
  • Ability to develop credible relationships with Government customer base.
  • Run a full prospecting sales cycle to include: discovery, pricing, and pass off to the correct Account Executive.
  • Exceed metrics on landed meetings and conversion of prospect to credible opportunity.
  • Work closely with Channel partners to qualify, understand prospects passed to RGS.
  • Within 30 days of employment, the ability to articulate the RGS Value proposition and our go to market sales messaging.
  • Work closely in collaboration with our RGS Federal Sales teams to ensure proper cultivation of opportunities and customer success.
  • Represent RGS as a trusted Government partner through demonstration of solid core values and mission understanding of our RGS Customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years in a sales role that includes direct outbound campaigns (OEM, Federal/SLED experience preferred)
  • Experience using Hubspot or Salesforce to manage daily activity
  • College Degree or Military Experience (Business or Engineering preferred)
