Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement projects that help Company achieve environmental, health, and safety goals
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety policies and standards
• Prepare environmental documents and reports required by various internal parties and governmental agencies, including hazardous waste (RCRA), community right-to-know, air quality, wastewater, emergency response and stormwater
• Develop and administer safety training programs to assemblers, technicians and other plant personnel
• Perform job hazard analysis on current and proposed operations to identify risks and coordinate their mitigation
• Support process and production engineers and unit supervisors on environmental issues
• Collect and analyze data in support of corporate sustainability activities
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor

Education and Skill Requirements:

• BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
