Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs

Role Purpose

The Director, FP&A will lead, drive, and manage all aspects of financial planning & analysis, including the development of the annual budget, monthly forecasting, strategic financial planning, and executive-level communications to management and the Board of Directors. This role demands a strategic mindset, leveraging industry best practices to deliver insightful, value-added analysis across the company. Reporting to the regional CFO, the Director will collaborate closely with executive leaders and the finance organization to enhance and standardize financial processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and streamline the region/function’s budgeting and forecasting process, including consolidation and reporting across multiple business lines, geographic areas, and corporate functions, following best practices for accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner with accounting and finance to develop robust Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts, managing the consolidation and reporting of working capital and cash conversion cycle with a focus on precision and timeliness
  • Oversee and maintain the integrity of the financial system (HFM - Hyperion) for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Drive the development of economic modeling and strategic financial projections, providing actionable insights into the company’s growth and profitability
  • Take ownership of regional or functional SG&A, leading the development of budgets and forecasts, tracking actuals vs. plan, and ensuring adherence to budget thresholds through rigorous monitoring and analysis
  • Prepare and present monthly reporting packages to executive management, highlighting actual and forecasted results vs. plan, and including variance analysis and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with Controller teams on month-end and quarter-end close reporting, ensuring alignment on policies, procedures, chart-of-accounts, and financial vs. management reporting, following best practices for accuracy and compliance
  • Work with global finance, segments, and executive leadership to develop and prepare comprehensive Board of Directors materials, incorporating industry best practices for clarity and impact
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Lead the team in developing and tracking company-wide financial and operational KPIs, implementing best practices for performance measurement and reporting
  • Manage FP&A activities related to M&A, ensuring effective integration and alignment with strategic goals
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis as needed, employing best practices for responsiveness and accuracy
  • Evaluate and continuously improve current processes, identifying and implementing best practices to achieve operational excellence

Education and/or Experience

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
    • At least 10 years’ experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis function
  • Preferred:
    • CPG / Retail industry experience
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, and Prism

Scope

  • Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: Ownership of region/function SG&A and budget management
  • Team Size: 1-2

Conditions of Role:

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel required as necessary.
  • Physical Conditions: Remote.
  • Work Environment: Predominantly remote, with some flexibility for office presense when needed
