Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct outpatient services to children, adolescents and their familiy members utilizing multiple clinical modalites to promote safety, wellbeing and success
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to the mental health clinicians, utilizing data and clinical expertise to drive conversations
  • In collaboration with the Asst. Directors, monitor overall staff productivity and utilization of the clinic and respective satellite locations on a monthly basis and provide feedback to assure productivity and utilization is met
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Directors, monitor policies and procedures for compliance and quality standards; identifies potential problems and generates innovative and creative solutions. Maintain compliance with all licensing requirements of the New York State Office of Mental Health. Complete monthly UR/Chart audits
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Directors, participate in staff meetings, planning and execution
  • Responsible for the hiring, training and retention of program staff.
  • Ensures all clinic staff members are fully trained and appropriately utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to effectively manage documentation, lengths of stay and ensure medical necessity criteria are met
  • Responsible for providing direct clinical services to the clients of the clinic
  • Will meet productivity expectations.
  • Oversees and participates in the 24 hour clinical coverage for the clients of the Behavioral Health Clinic
  • In collaboration with the Asst Directors, oversees and supports the Significant Incident reporting process to include the completion of significant incident reports, NIMRS and Justice Center reporting and participation in the agency Incident Review Committee
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must have a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
  • Model and display high ethical standards
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts
  • Ability to work 1-2 evenings per week and provide on-call support
  • Ability to provide coverage to all clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications
  • 2 years supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably working with children, with an astute understanding of the OMH 599 regulations
  • Must have a current professional license as a mental health professional (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, LCAT)
