Overview of Role/Job Purpose:
The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance our VXretail products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the retail energy sector and experience working in agile environments.
Essential Duties:
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
· Analyze and map current business processes to identify areas for improvement
· Develop and prioritize user stories and product backlogs in collaboration with product owners
· Attend agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
· Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
· Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
· Provide industry and product knowledge to end-clients, Client Service, and Implementation teams
· Provide ongoing support and training to team members
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the retail energy sector
· Strong understanding of retail energy markets, regulations, and customer dynamics
· Experience working on projects and writing user stories
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills: ability to manage multiple responsibilities, while effectively focusing on priority issues
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
· Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Office)
· Knowledge of energy management systems and/or customer relationship management (CRM) software
· Knowledge of VXretail is a plus
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
