Assistant Professor of Instruction in Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction beginning January 15th, 2025.
Area of specialization: Open. Area of competence: Open, but the department has strong teaching needs in Medical Ethics and Ancient Philosophy. The appointed faculty will be expected to teach a large section of Introduction to Philosophy or Introduction to Ethics each semester. Hiring decisions are based on budget approval.
Job Requirements:
ABD applicants are welcome, but a Ph.D. by August 31, 2025 is required. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students are both highly desirable.
