Application Administrator
As the application administrator, your role will be pivotal in providing comprehensive IT application support. This will involve a range of tasks, from installations and upgrades to configuring and administering cloud-based and server-side application software. You will be the go-to person for different functional areas of the college, ensuring the smooth running of our systems. Your responsibilities will also include performing quarterly course archival operations, testing and deploying custom code changes, and developing data feeds between external applications using data migration tools in Salesforce. In this position, you will be expected to customize and develop Salesforce user profiles and rule sets, provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies, and troubleshoot program issues.
As the administrator, you are responsible for serving as an escalation contact for issues with vendor services and planning integration strategies between applications, including programming and testing. You must be able to study and recommend automated approaches for application administration tasks that leverage resources, keep current on new software features, and provide updates on work tasks, including issues potentially impacting the on-time completion or quality level of assignments. Additionally, in this role, you will provide detailed analysis and documentation for functions, support developers during the implementation of projects, confer and collaborate with staff IT staff in other departments, apply patches and upgrades, and complete coding and scripting tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in computer science or information systems with at least two years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, collaboration, multitasking, planning, documentation, interpersonal, analytical, technical, and organizational skills
- Experience with Linux and Bash shell, SQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and Oracle technologies
- At least two years of relevant experience with technical implementation, daily operations, and long-term maintenance of enterprise applications
- Able to develop positive relationships with users and be self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in higher education related job with Banner, uPortal, CAS/SAML, or Salesforce
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform, Docker, and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with Java, PL/SQL, Jenkins, Git, Apache HTTP Server or Nginx, and Apache Tomcat
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver’s license

- Less than 10%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
