Hospitality AV Support Technician

The Hospitality Technician will be responsible for providing support in the operation of the Baird Conference Center and other prime meeting room locations in the building. The position requires an individual with high-energy who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is extremely client-focused. The individual holding this position ensures meeting room setups meet specifications and has audiovisual expertise in both preparation and troubleshooting capacities.

As a Hospitality Technician you will:
  • Prepare and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment including laptops, projectors, displays, audio conference, videoconference, automation systems, etc.
  • Provides exceptional client service using a combination of effective communication, proactive planning and setup and troubleshooting skills to fulfill requests and resolve client issues.
  • Interprets Event Orders and prepares rooms according to specifications, including reconfiguring tables and chairs, arranging meeting materials, initiating presentations, adjusting lighting, etc.
  • Has working knowledge of event management software and creates items, menus, events and reports to assist in the planning and execution of daily events.
  • Sets client expectations and ensures all requests/services are executed on time in accordance with service level agreements with the business.
